The Trench Coat Phase

Shifting into the next phase – a trench coat is the obvious spring fling. Before making any further points I should confess I am only now reaching a point in my life where I feel comfortable wearing a trench coat. I used to be such a tomboy in my teens, and I still like a sporty and masculine twist, but there has been a shift into something more grown up, and who knows what is coming next?

Anyhow, I might wait until next year before adding a trench coat to my wardrobe, but TOTÊME strikes again with another classic piece (they keep on amazing me with every collection), and I adore this coat by PROTAGONIST. There is something utilitarian chic about a trench coat which definitely is the ruling trend, but don’t count out a black trench.

Céline Fall 2017

When Phoebe Philo delivers, she creates a feeling of temptation, and you know you’re set for whatever is to come. I am proud of being a CÈLINE woman all the way.

This collection a straightforward whole which offers to-die-for coats, blazers, and accessories a-plenty. In the fall bags will be eye-catchingly oversized, earrings sparkly, and apparently a quirky scarf or blanket is going to be a must-have statement. She has an eye for colour so baby blue seems to be here to stay. I also spotted a few interesting prints here and there.

But what truly matters is this is the way I want to dress. Period. And I agree with Philo: it is enough when the clothes speak for themselves.
