Current Obsession

If the Alphabet collection by CÈLINE was not an obsession of mine already in the fall, it really is right now (!), though I am not sure if I want an H or another alphabet. Ever since it was announced Phoebe Philo is departing, I’ve been wanting to fill my closet with CÈLINE only. So yes, I am part of the skeptical club…

P.S. Anyone in Paris and willing to buy me one?

Chic Ladies: Josephine Dahlin

Josephine Dahlin is the Founder of DEITAS – one of my go-to labels for chic leisurewear and effortless pieces to wear on a vacation. But maybe more importantly I really love her aesthetic and how she curates her own wardrobe. As told by Josephine:

Tell me about your style and what brands you like to wear?

Whether in a pyjamas or an ankle length long sleeved dress, I more or less live in shiny silk pieces. Velvet slippers are common partners. Thankfully I have no social anxiety around wearing current  favourites again and again, which really makes my life easier. Boiling it down like this is also great when packing, which means a lot these days. Plus it leaves space for shoes and warm layers like my blue teddy coat by Phoebe Philo.

Has founding DEITAS influenced your style?

Yes absolutely, this journey with DEITAS is continuously widening my aesthetics and at the same time narrowing choices. I’ve learnt a lot about quality and craftsmanship by doing this. The times we live has maybe biggest impact on our style; although my hemline may still be ankle length, I’m thinking of ruling out black clothes this year.

What are you going to buy next?

I don’t know about buying, but right now my top three Google searches are mid-century vintage carpets, Jean Royére, and puppy’s for sale, although perhaps not in that order.

Which are your favourite beauty and skincare products?

I start the day with BIOLOQIQUE Recherccé P50 lotion and follow up with antioxidants and Créme de La Mer. For that fresh no makeup look RMS BEAUTY products are so good.

How do you detox?

With yoga and a vegetable based diet.

What are your plans for the weekend?

We are skiing and hanging out with friends and family. It’s soon time for fashion weeks, which means time spent away from them, so it’s the best possible preparation for a very busy time ahead.

DEITAS is soon to be carried by Net-a-Porter – get to know the brand here & follow here.

At Bukowskis

Those of you who dream of seeing the exhibition put together for TOTÊME’s AW18 presentation featuring sculptures and artwork by Eric Grate and Eva Lange are pretty lucky. The exhibition will run until the 31st of January displaying selected looks from the collection as well. So if you are in Stockholm, make sure to visit over the weekend!

Chic Ladies: Claire Thomson-Jonville

Next up is the ultra chic Editor-in-Chief of Self Service magazine and a mother of two, Claire Thomson-Jonville, who was kind enough to take part despite her crazy schedule during the Couture week in Paris.  As told by Claire:

Tell me about your style and brands you like to wear?

I pretty much have a uniform. A great coat and well-cut trousers from CÈLINE and a cashmere sweater or CHARVET men’s shirt for day with PRADA boots, great jewellery from CHARLOTTE CHESNAIS or REPOSSI, and a big smile and good attitude. A tuxedo for evening from my capsule collection I’m launching in collaboration with PALLAS this season.

Does being a fashion editor influence your style?

Yes it’s inevitable. I’m surrounded by so many options everyday which is why it’s so much simpler to have a uniform.

What are you going to buy next?

I’m more interested in buying furniture than clothes as I’m moving house. But I’m obsessed with YASMINE ESLAAMI lingerie, so probably more!

Which are your favourite beauty and skincare products?

TATA HARPER cleansers and masks, LA MER moisturisers, and RMS makeup.

How do you detox?

I eat healthy food all year round, I juice, and I enjoy sport. I swim practically everyday. I don’t really do detoxes or cleanses… over the summer I do a digital detox.

What are your plans for the weekend?

Swimming, furniture shopping, hanging out with babies, watching Netflix… cosy weekend before the show madness starts again.
