Weekend Inspiration

My mind has been off wandering lately which is why I’ve dedicated this evening to going through old inspiration folders. These images of Azzedine Alaia’s apartment hotel in Paris caught my eye. Not sure if the hotel still exists, but the decor is very striking. I wish I could stay there one day. So chic!

November Mood Board

Of late I’ve been inspired by fake fur coats and black turtleneck sweaters – both of which are ultimate winter garments. Also our Fashion Director, Columbine Smille, looks stunning in an entire look from TOTÊME and a pair of dreamy Manolos.

As it comes decor, it’s been almost two months since I moved into my new apartment. I haven’t bought anything yet because I kind wanted to settle in first. As the space is full of light, I’ve been thinking that maybe a yellow toned Persian rug would be the right choice instead. We shall see.

Monday Inspiration

Still sticking to decor related themes here on the blog.

Of late I’ve been inspired by natural colour palettes and shades of brown, preferably mixed with blue and green to add a fresh edge. The decor above is from The Apartment by The Line in Melrose Place and it has served as my source of inspiration when thinking about choices for my new apartment. I am also dreaming of the ´Como´ scarf from TOTÊME or the green blanket from CÈLINE to add a final touch; it looks like lifestyle accessories are trending, no?

On My Mind: Decor

What my ultimate decor decor wish list looks like, you are welcome.

Having moved into a new apartment about a month ago (the first apartment which is not some kind of university accommodation) I’ve constantly been thinking about pieces I want to purchase in the long-run. Maybe not for this apartment, but eventually. I already know I won’t settle down in Finland because it won’t be smart career-wise and there some places out there I still want to explore in full. Anyhow, I’ve made a decision to start investing in decor from now on as well. I am sure I won’t regret that decision.

For Home: Raaka Rå

I was recently introduced to Raaka Rå, a Finnish design brand, and I set my eyes on their bowls and plates immediately. They are truly raw and beautiful, perfect for the modern, yet timeless kitchen.
