The autumn break is just around the corner and either you’re planning a trip to a big city, a beach or just your cabin, the chrispy white shirt is a must-pack! The timeless piece comes in too many different shapes and sizes this season, which makes it even more wearable than ever (yes, it’s possible!). Wear it with whatever comes over your mind, skirts – short and long – jeans, wide trousers, skipants, over and under dresses or just by it self. The best part is, the opportunities are endless! So to make it easier to know which shirt to bring to your next trip and how to style it, we have gathered our favorites (which of course are in store right now!) and put them together in dreamy outfits that works all day long.
Shirt from H&M, coat from Weekday, pants from Totême, bag from Loewe, boots from Zara and earrings from Isabel Marant.
The city: Don’t leave home without at least one white shirt if a big city is on your sceduale. Why you ask? Because the combinations too look super smash is to many with a white shirt in your suitcase. If there was one shirt we’d bring with us to a big city vacay it would be this one from H&M, with a elegant twist; the wide collar. Or almost an off shoulder if you like. The loose yet very sophisticated shape makes it perfect for both casual combinations and formal ones.
Shirt from Ann Demeulemeester, pants from Totême, swimsuit from Eres, bag from The Row, sandals from Bottega Veneta, towel from Totême and sunglasses from Acne Studios.
The beach: Who likes spending a lot time in the room when the beach is waiting – and of course when you’re hungry at night. We don’t and that’s why we always bring a long variant of the classic shirt with us when heading off to the typical beach vacay (you know breakfast-beach-lunch-beach-dinner-sleep and repeat). The long shirt is the go-to piece! Not only does it look very exclusive when thrown over you swimsuit, it’s suitable for lunch and dinner too. Yes, dinner too! Switch your sandals with a pair of heels, add a clutch and some diamond jewellery and you’ll see what we mean.
Shirt from H&M, hoodie from Zara, skipants from Mango, t-shirt from Weekday, sneakers from Nike and bag from MZ Wallance.
The cabin: Sounds a bit strange bringing a shirt to a cabin? Well, we don’t know about you, but we like looking good even when chilling and this seasons shirts have a more loose fit – like this from H&M, btw a favo! – which makes them the perfect hang out garment. Believe it or not, I’m actually chilling in this one from H&M while writing this and it feels good; not tight and not too hot. Too make it even more comfy, bring your skipants and a hoodie if it gets too cold.
