After a lot of teasing H&M has finally revealed the whole Kenzo collaboration – under a month before the collection hits 250 H&M stores all over the world November 3 – and we’re kind of interested now!
Carol Lim and Humberto Leon (the designers behind Kenzo) is serving an electric global cast – and no we’re not talking supermodels! – to show off their playful and artistic collection, in Kenzo style of course. Artists, activists and creative minds like DJ Juliana Huxtable, activist writer Amy Sall, photographer Youngjun Koo, makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench and musician Anna of the North, are some of the models that were handpicked to model in the lookbook.
«They’re people we admire, icons in their own fields, people who are influential beyond their fashion sensibility,» Leon told Vogue.com.
And as for the collection, it’s a mix of old and new Kenzo, as a tribute to Kenzo Takada, who founded the brand in the 70’s. We kind of like the modern touch of the old Kenzo. Especially the new patterns, which we’d gladly wear with our classi! We know the collection might look a bit too much, but see the pieces apart and matched with black, white and denim. We’re actually thinking about the red zebra stripes combined with our favorite patent pieces!
