The Dream Destination VILLA PEDRA

Even though we’re far from done with all the dream destinations in Italy, we’re slowly moving over to yet another lively and interesting country – that’s really in the wind right now. Of course we’re taking about Portugal! The country is maybe hotter than ever and we see why; beautiful cities, small super local villages, amazing beaches, striking nature and amazing food. Do we need to go on? The list is already too good and if we were to head over there tomorrow, Villa Pedra would definitely be one of our spots!
Villa Pedro is literally in the middle of nowhere. It’s one of Portugal’s big secrets actually. The place was once a private village. that for the past 80 years had been left without any inhabitants and in ruins, before it was restored to a quiet holiday paradise with 12 holiday homes and a hotel-type service. The villages location is in the mountains with nothing else than a breathtaking view and beautiful nature. Which is exactly what we need right now! The holiday homes are all over 400 years old, but has got an modern touch-up that we really love. Is it anything more beautiful that a combination of the new and old? We don’t think so and Villa Pedro is a living proof!

For a long weekend in Villa Pedro we’d keep it all casual in simple and comfy airy clothes. For daytime, we’d probably just need a gorg bikini or two, but when night falls a light knitted sweater is not a bad idea when in the mountains. A pair of wide pants is also a good idea. When it comes to our shoe-suitcase, some sneakers would be a must, as well as classic slippers. And as for the details? A cap is all we need!
