In less than one day H&M is showing their exclusive Studio SS18 collection during Paris Fashion Week. There is no secret I’m (K) an H&M girl – and I’ve been since I can remember actually. Even more after the launch of Trend and Studio a couple of years back (more than a couple of years when I think about it. Time flies!). I can’t remember the last time I went into H&M and went out without at least one thing; either it’s a basic t-shirt or a seasonal trend garment. And be sure I won’t be leaving the store/online shop without a couple of the pieces from the coming Studio SS18 collection as well…
I’ve been so lucky to pre-see and try on some of the garments before the show the 28th of February and believe me; there are a couple of pieces you want to hunt down directly after the show. Yes, the ‘see now, buy now’ concept continues – and than whoever you want to thank for that. We’ll definitely be ready and so should you to be honest
The SS18 collection is full of sharp pieces. Minimalistic yet playful. Timeless yet modern in a practical way. And strange it isn’t; the collection is inspired by the Japanese minimalism and art culture. The countrys elegance and it’s clothing tradition; sophisticated and comfy, with a dash of practical work-wear silhouettes and details.
My favorite from the collection is a perfect mix of all the mentioned keywords. The airy long sleeved, caftan-like dress. Minimalistic and modern, balancing both the feminine side of me (the palette combined with its romantic fall and movement!) and the masculine (with its details. Like the round, covering neck and the ‘hoodie lacing’ detail). Prepare to see this beauty around.
Other garments a minimalistic heart won’t be able to resist are the black and white ones. A round neck shirt with puffy arms, a black split skirt and a ‘skew’ blazer to mention some. Gathered below are the garments we’ll be hunting down when they hit selected stores on 1st of March and online post-show the 28th. Good luck and happy shopping!
