Caroline, A Style Journey
I think we can all agree that the Danes in general do food better than us. Somehow these people seem to add just a little more flavor in whatever they do (even that wrap you buy for brekkie on 7-Eleven somehow tastes better, doesn’t it?). Therefore this article provides no strict guideline – but rather suggestions to point you in some cheerful directions – if you’re feeling fuzzy in between all that shopping!
Here are five of my favorite places to eat when in CPH.
THE BREAKFAST SPOT
Kejsergade 2, 1155 København, Danmark
Eat as much as you like of the perfect hotel breakfast? Yes, please! Scrambled eggs, pancakes, exquisite jam – you know all those things you just can’t get enough of? A genius way to start your day of that oh-so-exhausting shopping.
WHERE TO LUNCH
A.C Perchs Tehandel Salon
Kronprinsensgade 5, 1114 København, Danmark
LOVE this place… A tea room so spotless even the English wouldn’t complain! Personally we enjoyed a classic ceremony by the window of the café (including a variety of different finger sandwiches and Petit Fours Cakes. Scones served with traditional jam, lemon curd and whipped cream). The surrounding provides the ultimate posh peace, if we may say so. And hi; while your there, don’t forget to pick up a few tips and tricks watching the staff making tea in the traditional way! Tea will never be the same again.
Borgergade 13, 1300 København K, Danmark
We actually had the vegan salat here – which was both super filling and full of flavor! Not to mention the sushi and the whole menu looked amazing too. All in all the ultimate stop for lunch, dinner or drinks!
THE LATE NIGHT DINNER
Skindergade 36, 1159 København K, Danmark
Don’t be fooled by the laid back atmosphere, this place provides one of the best tacos in town; delicate, full of taste and oh so filling! A place just as great for a night out as a dinner date.
Landgreven 10, 1300 København, Danmark
According to US media group Bloomberg this is one of the best burgers in the world. We actually never made it to the actual burgers here, because of the line and their policy of closing when their sold out. But hey – you gotta respect that.
