Fashion Week Highlights: THE BEST OF OSLO RUNWAY

Katarina, A Style Journey

Despite some important names missing within the Norwegian fashion scene during this years OSLO RUNWAY (see Admir Batlak, ESP and Tom Wood), there is still improvement to see in the still very young FW. Not only do we see positiv development through the good mix of both conceptual and commercial brands, we see it through the ‘new’ and more modern ways of showing – like Cathrine Hammel’s super successful scenic presentation! Not to mention through the venue choice – which has never been better – and the still strong organization by This is PR. All resulting in a representative Norwegian Fashion Week – and some highlights to brag about:

THE BEST LOOK

Definitely this Anne Karine Thorbjørnsen look (minus the shoes and socks). The dress shows exactly how good she is with drapery in a modern yet feminine way.

THE BEST ACCESSORY

These uber pointy heels from Søster Studio. I’ll take every single color please!

THE BEST SHOW

Michael Olestad. Even though I personally think is previous collection was stronger, he is showing in a different level through his handcraft, new takes on history, trends and stereotypes and with pieces that are a perfect balance between arty and commercial.

Epilogue – with her best collection ever – should also be mentioned, as well as Cathrine Hammel with the most powerful presentation I’ve seen so far.

THE HOTTEST MODEL

After spotting Eliiza N. Kuol at Michael Olestad’s show last season I’ve had an crush on this beauty!

THE BEST VENUE

The main venue Bankplassen 4. Probably the best venue OSLO RUNWAY has ever had. The perfect arena for interaction between fashion, art and history.
