Katarina, A Style Journey

(Affiliate) If there is one thing I always miss about the AW season it’s coats. I love them. Always and forever a coat-lady. When finding your perfect match(es) it’s probably the easiest garment to look your best in. No special styling needed; just you and your cozy coat.

Speaking about cozy, there is no AW-garment more cozy and comfy when the degree cane shows blue. Especially if it’s long and spacious – and if you go for a killer material. But of course I’m not only all about the uber long ones – even though they’re my favorites when they touch the ground. I coat-lady loves all her babies and I’ve gathered three coat trends (and some favorites) that I’ll be hunting down this fall.

Shop your favorites below each coat trend!

The ‘a bit too long’ coat

As mentioned above (for me) there is no coat as the ‘a bit too long’ one. The one that touches the floor. So powerful and sophisticated yet just enough laid back. Not to mention cozy and warm as few coats when the cold hits. So, from me to every designer out there (except The Row which is already doing it): make more LONG coats. They’re needed.

Brown coat from Situationist, white coat from Jacquemus, black coat from Giuliva Heritage Collection, off white coat from The Row, off white coat from Rosie Assoulin and grey coat from Akris.

The Cape

I had an obsession earlier this season as well – both short and long ones were and are still very welcome. Perfect for layering and even better when the weather is as fast changing as it is ATM. Also – for the ones living by night – the cape is the perfect nigh-life companion!

Beige cape coat from Jil Sander, hooded cape from Semicouture, poncho cape from Sonia Rykiel, hooded cape from Moncler, wool cape from The Row and hooded wool-blend cape from Moncler.

The leather coat

Simply just always a winner, every AW season. Black, beige, brown or white; as long as it’s (or looks like) leather we’re satisfied. But an extra detail is never wrong – like a chunky belt, xxl buttons or statement pockets.

Leather look a like from Bevza, burgundy faux leather coat from Koché, beige suede coat from Loewe, croc-effect coat from Givenchy, belted leather coat from Loewe and leather trench coat from Attico.
