I traveled to Cuba, Havana to be exact, for a quick, well-deserved break over Christmas. It was a rare opportunity, which I could not resist because Cuba had always felt like a dream destination.
Havana is an otherwordly place, but in a very different way that one would assume – what you see on Instagram offers is a very one-sided image. I mean, yeah, there are lots of colours around, but the vibe is quite rough and there’s maybe one street that has been done up.
Anyhow, here’s my trusted island look, which I wore to dinner one evening. I think was the day when we were drinking rum on the beach and I was wrapped in a white Totême towel. Lots of rum went down, and the Caribbean ocean was as turquoise as you can imagine and warmer than the air!
The mandatory palm three image from our hotel. It was ok, or lets say, I am used to backpacking, so in that respect the hotel was pretty nice! The only issue I had was finding healthy & nutritious food, but as per the country’s history and status quo, you cannot expect that and I could have done my research better.
A snapshot of my look just before Christmas dinner and a flight back home.
